Welcome to EYFS! Starting school is a huge milestone for our children and their grown-ups! There may be tears, nerves and lots of big feelings in those first few days, and that's completely normal. Our priority is to help every child feel safe, happy, known and loved as they settle into their new school family. A few little reminders from our EYFS team as we begin: A short, confident goodbye really helps. Trust us we'll comfort, distract, cuddle and support them when they need us. Don't worry if you ask "What did you do today?" and the answer is "nothing!" We promise, they did plenty! A family photo can be a lovely comfort while they settle. The first few weeks are about relationships, routines, belonging and feeling safe. The learning will follow. And finally... PLEASE label EVERYTHING! Thank you for trusting us with your little people.
