When Can My Child Start Nursery?

Universal Entitlement (Term After Third Birthday)

Children usually start the term after their third birthday.

Intakes take place in:

  • September
  • January
  • April

We recommend applying at least one term before your child turns three.
Applications can be made from birth and will be held on file.

Rising 3s (Start Immediately After Turning 3)

If your child has accepted a nursery place, they may be able to start as soon as they turn three (subject to availability), rather than waiting for the next term.

Rising 3 places can be funded, you can check your eligibility at Childcare Choices. Or you can self-fund the place. See bottom of page for costings.

Please note:

  • We do not admit 2-year-olds.
  • Children must have turned 3 before starting.
