How the PTFA raises funds

Christmas Shop

This is one of the highlights of the school year! The PTFA organises a Christmas Shop which allows pupils to buy presents for their family. The children get the full experience of shopping – from getting a shopping basket to choosing their gifts, paying at the till to wrapping and labelling. It’s so much fun and families love receiving their surprise gifts, all chosen by the children.

Some family members even make lovely handmade gifts to be sold such as jewellery, bookmarks, decorations or edible gifts. We couldn’t run the shop without the support of the Church and our amazing family volunteers.  Please get in touch if you’d like to help!

Personalised Christmas Cards and gifts

All children are given the opportunity to design their own Christmas cards. Families can then buy packs of these with their child’s design. There are a range of other items that can be purchased too such as tea towels, wrapping paper, gift labels, keyrings and notebooks. Thanks to everyone who supports us by buying them.

Annual Autumn Fair

This is another hugely popular event in the school calendar! We run an Autumn Fair so new starters from Nursery and Reception can join in the fun at the start of the school year. The newly departed year 6 students also like to return to say hello, which is lovely. We have all the traditional fun of the fair: BBQ food, cakes, bouncy castles, tombolas, have-a-go sports, craft stalls, fun games and prizes galore! Everyone has a great time so come and join us. We need lots of volunteer help on the day so please do sign up to run a stall if you can! Last year we raised £3,300!

Working with local businesses

We are so lucky to have the support of some incredible businesses in the local area.

Eddison White Estate Agents have been our headline sponsor for the Autumn Fair over the past two years. Their incredible donations have made our new library refurbishment possible.

A huge thank you also to all the companies that donate prizes for our prize draw:

AFC Wimbledon, Perform Drama School, Dolphin Swim Academy, Bargain Store, A&N Tailoring, Siegeris Dance, Dance Shack, New Wimbledon Theatre, Pola Theatre, Colour House Theatre, Bockett's Farm, Hobbledown, The Fit Partnership, Coffee in the Wood, Explore Learning, Veronica's Driving School, Sticks ‘N’ Sushi, Oddono's Gelati, The Odeon, Ely's, Love Wimbledon and The Entertainer.

Prize Draw

Each year we run a fantastic prize draw. We get amazing prizes from local businesses and ask families to support us by buying and selling the tickets to their families and friends.

The prizes last year included: Family ticket for New Wimbledon theatre, Family ticket for the Polka theatre, Family day out at Hobbledown, Family day out at Bockett’s Farm, Odeon cinema tickets,  Apple Air tag, gift vouchers for Ely’s Department Store, The Entertainer, Oddono’s Gelati, Pizza Express, Sticks ‘N’ Sushi, a term’s worth of free lessons for Perform, Dance Shack, Siegeris Dance and Explore Learning, several luxury hampers and lots more!

Koinonia Kafe

You will often see members of the PTFA providing refreshments through our ‘Koinonia Kafe’ at school events. Come and say hello to us and grab a hot drink at the Early Years Teddy Bear picnics, School Christmas nativities and carol concerts, sports days, community week events and more!

Easy Fundraising

It’s quick and simple to sign up to the Easy Fundraising scheme and raise money for the school as you shop. Just select All Saints’ as your chosen charity, purchase your shopping as normal, and lots of extra pennies come to us!

Easter

Each Easter, the PTFA runs an Easter Egg hunt for the children during the school day. Each child has to find a hidden egg and then they are rewarded with a treat! All dietary requirements are catered for and the children have a great time!

Cake Stalls

Another classic fundraising activity, who doesn’t love a cake stall?! Every year group gets the chance during the school year to take the lead in running a cake stall. Families are asked to provide homemade or shop baked cakes and then the whole school is welcome to come and buy a tasty treat. There’s always friendly competition to see which year can raise the most for the PTFA school fund.

Pre-loved Uniform

The PTFA and the Eco Warrior Team from school have listened to financial and environmental concerns from families around purchasing school uniform and we’re now delighted to be running pre-loved uniform sales. This is a great way of cutting uniform costs, helping to reduce waste and also raising money for the school!

Branded school uniform such as polo shirts, jumpers and cardigans are usually sold for half the price of new. Non-branded uniform (skirts, trousers, PE kit etc) is sold for even less. Get in touch if you need items and we can check our stock availability.
