  • World Book Day 2022

We have had a great World Book Day at All Saints' this year. It started off with 2 Author visits - the award-winning Emma Carroll visited the children virtually to share her new book 'the week at world's end' and an in person visit from the author Jaidz Majasi who talked to the children about 3 of her books and answered the questions.

Staff and children made a huge effort in dressing up as favourite characters in books. We have put together some photos from the day for you to see below and created an album of many more! View the album here! You can download a pdf newsletter below too.

There were visits to the Library in Colliers Wood and children were encouraged to get comfortable in any way they wanted to read...meaning anywhere...and read in any position they felt was comfortable! Take a look at this video of the children doing just that!

Very exciting today to have 2 author visits at All Saints' We were 'virtually' visited by Emma Carroll to talk to the children about the 'Week at Worlds End' a gripping story set in Britain in 1962, during the Cuban missile crisis, which explores family, friendship, courage and hope (perfect for ages 9+). Emma Carroll is a bestselling and award-winning queen of historical fiction.

We were also very luck to have an in person visit by Jaidz Majasi, where she talked about 3 of her books, read some extracts and let the children ask questions and even signed some books. A great start to World Book Day!
